Wishing for Rain....

As I'm out in the garden this morning {well whats left of my drought ravaged gardens, lol}I was looking at whats still hanging on before the fall blooms start to emerge. So many blooms have come and gone so fast but I'm seeing some making a comeback because Ive been watering faithfully for the last week. The Japanese beetles are still chomping away on my flowers but hopefully I can treat the lawn next spring to avoid this situation from happening again. My beautiful Hydrangeas didn't bloom this year but I investigated and found out that its because Ive got all new wood growing so next summer I will have plenty of flowers!
The birds and the butterfly's are still enjoying my gardens and they don't seem to mind whats been going on and I'm thrilled to see them every day!

The lack of rain has not hurt your garden.. I'm sure you water with the hose because it's just beautiful.. now mine is water logged.. we are in rainy season and everything is soggy, boiling 100' and literally mush!
I do have a few plants left that will come back to life with the fall that is soon, not soon enough, coming..
Nice photos
I'll wish for rain to come your way...

You've done a great job keeping your garden hydrated during this dry spell - we've had feast or famine - long periods of rain followed by long, hot periods of dry weather. I am too looking at the garden's progress. So looking forward to fall - planning on a few changes - LOVE your garden pictures - I appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
Kathy

Your gardens are lovely.
Beautiful pictures!
I know what you mean.... I live in the mid west and it's been very dry and sooooooo hot!! My gardens have suffered as well. The poor grass has turned brown.... except in the shade. LOL! The constant watering didn't help the grass but tripled my water bill.
Thanks for sharing.
Will visit again soon.
